Weekend tour /3 days

 

Yerevan - Kotayk - Gegharkunik - Ararat - Yerevan

 

Day 1  Arrival in Yerevan. Transfer to hotel. Accommodation. 

Tour to the beautiful monastery of Geghard, located in a deep canyon carved into the rock. It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage List. Then we will visit Garni temple. It is unique survived example of heathen culture in Armenia. It is blend of Greco-Roman and Armenian styles. Lunch in Garni with participation in the preparation of the traditional Armenian bread ''lavash''.

Return to Yerevan. Dinner and Overnight.

 

Day 2 Tour to the peninsula Sevanavank monastery Sevanavank. Lunch on the shore of Lake Sevan. Departure to the village of Noraduz. This is a unique place, where one can reveal the development of khachkar art in its historical process.

Return to Yerevan. Dinner and overnight. 

 

Day 3 Early morning departure to the South of the country. Along the way we will cross the region of Ararat. Stop in Khor Virap, which is the most famous pilgrimage site in Armenia. From the monastery one can admire the stunning view of the Biblical Mount Ararat.

Arrival in Yerevan. Departure.
